In the autumn of 2009, ZigPress took over responsibility for maintaining and enhancing the popular online magazine website Malta Inside Out, working closely with its owners Liz Ayling and Alex Grech to improve its functionality, performance, and SEO rating.

For the last few months I have been working with Liz and Alex to develop a new visual theme for the site, as well as creating new functionality, with two purposes: firstly to add some freshness and improve usability, and secondly to make content management much easier for the owners.

And now, finally, the new theme and new features are ready and have been applied to the site.

Some notable additions are a more versatile banner management system, a horizontal category bar to help guide visitors towards content they will find interesting, a newsletter subscription option, simplified image management in the back end, and course a visual refresh.

Malta Inside Out has been a WordPress-based site from the very beginning, and is now using some of the best plugins available in order to provide functionality and performance.
